Park Rules
Unfortunately wherever one goes in this world there are always local rules in place to ensure that the equilibrium of peace and happiness will prevail. We have written our Park Rules in line with this philosophy and your adherence to our wishes will ensure you will have a wonderful stay with us.
Please leave the camp kitchen and barbecue area clean and tidy after use. Newspaper, scrapers and bins are provided for rubbish disposal.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING in Chalets, Cabins, Camp Kitchen, Laundry or Ablutions. Terracotta trays are supplied on balconies of Chalets and Cabins for smokers. Please do not drop your cigarette butts in Park.
All damages incurred by guests to property in the Park will be paid for by the guest before departure. Failure to comply with this will result in an automatic “Blacklisting” for future bookings. We accept fair wear and tear on items in the Park but damage that does not fall into this category will incur an invoice for repair or replacement.
For your safety the speed limit within the Park is 8km. This is to be strictly observed at all times as accidents do occur and we do not want serious injuries occurring due to non-adherence to this policy.
Animals are definitely not permitted in the Park – National BIG 4 Regulations.
Strictly no loud music or noise after 10 pm. Guests who break this rule will be asked to turn it down. Non-compliance with this rule will result in the guest being asked to leave. There are certain major functions throughout the year where this rule is wavered, with Police approval, i.e., New Year’s Eve function.
Children are to be accompanied by an adult in the ablutions and camp kitchen at all times. Damage caused by children to the facilities in this park will make their parents liable for the damage.
Please park your vehicle on your site only. If you cannot fit your camp on your site then there is extra vehicle parking at the northern end of the Park. We strictly monitor this policy.
Visitors to the Park must park their cars outside.
Please crush any cardboard boxes or cartons before placing in bins.
Wrap and dispose of fish and crayfish waste in the bins provided. There are fish cleaning facilities at the Marina with daily rubbish pick-ups. NOTE that the Park has a once a week rubbish pick-up on Wednesday and more regular pick-ups during busy periods.
Aluminium cans to be placed in large open bins provided. Local Charity groups collect these.
Please ask at the Office if you need to wash your car. We don’t mind you doing this as long as it is on the grass and you ask us first. Dongara and Port Denison have water restrictions.
Please use the clothes line provided. Makeshift clothes lines are dangerous and are not permitted.
Avoid leaving your washing on the lines overnight.
Do not leave valuable items out in the open at any time of the day as thieving is a human condition inherent in a few misguided individuals.
Do not remove any property from the Park that you do not own, i.e., hoses, tap fittings, etc. The hoses provided are the property of the Park and are in place to ensure the grass stays green. If you remove any item you will be “Blacklisted” for any future bookings.
Do not tie ropes to trees or the slip-rails dividing the campsites. These become extremely dangerous in low light conditions. This act also ring-barks our precious trees and act as garrotes for unwary individuals.
Children are to wear helmets at all times when riding, bicycles, scooters, roller blades etc. There is to be no riding of bicycles, scooters, roller blades etc between sunset and sunrise. This is a dangerous practice which could lead to serious injury.
Cricket, football and other outdoor games are not to be played in the Park. There is an open playing area adjacent to the waterfront chalets near the beach where this can be done.
If you have an emergency or problem that needs to be remedied IMMEDIATELY ONLY please call us on our after hours number 9927 1131.
Check in time is from 1.30pm onwards.
Check Out time is strictly 10 am or you will incur a late check out fee.
Please be aware that the beachfront is a public walkway, so it is advisable not to leave items unsecured.
Rules not covered under the above fall under the guise of Common Sense and Respect for others and property. Repetitive disregard of these rules will result in a permanent “Blacklisting” for all future bookings.
